Dwell N You began as a youth praise and worship 3 man group for CrossFire Ministries out of Roan Street Church of God in Elizabethton,tn. THe Original members were Joshua broyles, Larry Creed, and Troy Clifton. After about 6 months the guys decided to add brother Chris Shields on lead and landon Shields on Rythm. They released the first album though Kris Carlson Productions and had a huge jump to start off the band's carreer, playing small venues, churchs, and events
In November 2007, with everyone in college and the stesses of life everyone but Josh Layed down their intruments and He began exstentsive auditions and searching. After 2 months and 80 musicans he chose the reigons best, Cody Greene(21) on lead, Chris Queen(25) bass, John Crawford(20) drums. Right out the gate 2 days worth of practice they hit the stage at the Lamp Light theater for Billy Wayne's, the creater of the groups 7 miles and December Radio, Winter blast 2007 and rocked the house full of young people.
On Feburary 1st the guys once again Turned to Kris to produce a live concert album. With a packed house a group following began as the group played, ministred, and told stories and testimonies from stage. An imendiate release of the album gave life to the rebound of the group. Also, adding Blake Payne(19) and Jordan Pate.(20).
Now on the verge of 2009 the guys are ready to go with new line-up. Josh and Cody along new comer Chris Kelley (16) "the young one" on bass. they've realized their ready to hit 09 and hit it hard. 2008 the guys played nearly 100 shows and sold a total of almost 10,000 albums over the last 5 years.
DNY foremost is a christian band, the first ablum was an acoustic setting which has done well since its release in July 2005..But since then the group has been reworking their sound to reach a younger crowd and have a greater impact when they heard the tracks....
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Everyone's having fun in the music they play, the atmosphere thats created, and truley using the talents that God gave to His glory, dreams and visions are coming to life and it all continuing to grow. For the new album, "The Fallen and The Risen", a sound change is taking place once again. The acoustic sets before were written inside the church setting, but now expanding beyond the walls, DNY has decided to go more Rock/Altnative/Christian. All the impact of christian music but set to reach those in other genres and give them a better message within.. The guys are looking to God for the future for its up to Him and His will, but for now feel that this is where He wants them and have made it so that everyone that sees the shows, hears the music, meets the guys, leaves full of memories and uplifted spirits.
